I think ciri becoming empress is a flat out bad ending. Emhyr's subjects (mainly merchants) are angry because he continues to wage wars against the north and he's forced to vacate the throne to someone. 1: ciri herself says (At the circus in payback) she just wants to live a normal life. In the Witcher ending, she can work and travel as a Either way, Emhyr's done for and Ciri will become a witcher. Just as i said above - I see letting rule Radovid as another "bad" ending. Yes - Ciri becomes witcher (I think that's an better choice than empress, not on emotional but on rational grounds), but all mages and non-humans will be hunted down and burned at stakes or be slaughtered. As a result Ciri does not become empress as her father isn't there to hand over the throne to her. The empress ending therefore has the most requirements, you need to 1) inspire Ciri by having at least 3 out of 5 "good points" with her, 2) she needs to see the emperor, AND 3) Nilfgaard needs to rule.

Still, in the end Ciri says that it is her decision (you can ask her that) to become empress. Of course she then will not be as free as living a Witcher's path and this choise may be due to rationalisation, but still; she does it because Ciri wants to do become empress because she sees that this is the best for the majority.

The best ending The Witcher 3 depends on the state of the in-game war and how good a father Geralt was with his adoptive daughter, Ciri. RPGs with multiple endings are far from unheard of, but the bad, good, and best endings in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt are particular standouts. While Geralt of Rivia is the player character and thus the But they are the most free and fiercely individualistic people in that world. When Ciri becomes a Witcher, she gains the freedom she has always longed for. When you get the Witcher Ciri ending, when you gift her her sword, you see the joy radiate from her. She becomes what she was always meant to be. . 57 136 270 34 231 13 330 229
